HI THERE, I'M COURTNEY!
Better know by friends and family as Court or CJ!
I was born and raised in the North Eastern Twin Cites, in Minnesota and I still live there with my husband Josh, our nine year old lab/pit mix, Bob, and our son, Marshall.
After losing my Commercial Interior Design job in 2020 to COVID-19 cuts, I used my unexpected time off to focus on what skills I wanted to learn more about. I spent time practicing and developing my creativity and love of digital design.
Building off of my interior design degree and the love I had for space planning, I started working towards a graphic design degree with a focus on digital layouts. Going back to school after a few years off was no easy task. While working full time, a full-term pregnancy journey, and a full class caseload, in July 2023, I proudly completed my program, Summa Cum Laude.

Throughout self-exploration and new education, I found a desire and drive in creating branding suites, event stationery, and presentation layouts. They combine my expertise in space planning from my interior design background with my love of print graphics and branding stories.

I spend my spare time, I enjoy being behind the camera lens. Ginger Spice Designs came to fruition after high school as a space to personally work on and showcase the joy I have immersing myself in nature and being able to share the essence of a human through the lens of someone else. Aside from landscapes and nature, I love shooting senior pictures and headshots.
When I am not behind the camera, editing pictures, or looking at a computer screen designing, you can find me out in the world with my family. We love theater, the opera, watching or going to hockey, football, volleyball, and soccer games, coaching and teaching the younger generation, hiking, creating pottery, and spending time at the lake with extended family.
I can't wait to turn my design passions into a long lasting career and share my skills with the world.
